Alright, so I’m currently at the library...procrastinating (what’s new) when I just overheard the CUTEST thing ever. Something to know so this story makes a little more sense is that I was not a part of this conversation I overheard and I truthfully have never seen these two dudes in my life. Another thing to note, I’m an insane eavesdropper when it comes to doing homework. I wish I could be legit and study at Starbucks like all the cool people do now a days while sipping on their coffee in the true hustle bustle of this so-called thing we refer to as life. BUT, when I go to Starbucks to “study” I could literally tell you the exact conversation and coffee order of each and every person who enters. It’s a blessing and a curse. On one hand, I’m not the sharpest at remembering names so it’s kind of like while I’m there I’m working on that part of my brain to recall these stories and truly invest my time in these random peoples lives who I will never see again. And there you have the curse side of things, why am I investing my time (when I should be doing homework) in these peoples lives who I will most likely never see again. I guess because I seek thrills. No, just because I procrastinate homework like its nobodies business. Well now I guess it’s your business whoever is reading this. You’re welcome.

Anyways, back to my story about overhearing the CUTEST thing that came out of this random guy’s mouth. Alright, to make the story more interesting let’s refer to this random guy as Jack. I feel like giving these people identities and names will make the story more relatable and potentially turn into a trilogy once I’m 35. The title, “10 Shades of Jack” it can be sort of a spin-off of “50 shades of Grey” but more realistic and relatable because who wants to deal with 50 problems when 10 is more obtainable (you’re welcome again). WELL now that I’ve created my future career and apparent trilogy I’m potentially going to write (to be continued) I must get back to the story at hand. I should truly get back to my homework but you know what they say; diamonds are made under pressure.

Okay, so these two dudes, one being Jack, were chatting. Backstory, they had a class together one semester and hadn’t seen each other in a while and so they were catching up. I told you…it’s a curse. Anyways, guy number B (not that he’s not worthy of a name but he’s not the center of this story so I was thinking something generic like Max or Sam but truthfully couldn’t settle on one and his black and white Adidas sweatshirt was throwing me off). Question, how do you determine if someone is more of a Max or a Sam? If you know the answer let me know because I contemplated and moved on. Anyways, Jack was chatting with guy B and guy B asks, “oh how’s Lily doing, where’s she at these days?” Again, the chicks name was not Lily but for confidentiality purposes I will call her Lily. Ironic because I don’t know either of these two guys or the girl in question but I didn’t actually hear the name, or I simply can’t remember, so I settled on Lily. Side note: DON’T SETTLE IN LIFE THOUGH PEOPLE! Figured I should through that in there as a reminder.

Alright, back to the story. After guy B asked Jack how and where Lily (his girlfriend) was Jack informed guy B that she was in back in California and they are good about splitting their time between here and there. Guy B then proceeds to say, “yeah Lily’s a really nice girl” and Jack responded, “yeah she’s pretty cool and its awesome that she thinks I’m cool enough to date and be around her.” INSERT HEART MELTING! How sweet is that?! The fact that Jack is dating Lily yet he GUSHES to this random guy B (sorry guy B) about how honored he feels that she has chosen him! Like WHAT?! Needless to say I was blown away which promoted me to write this blog (instead of doing homework).

Moral of the story is find a guy like Jack. How neat would it be to have a guy that thinks you’re super cool and feels “awesome” that you want to be with him. This just spoke VOLUMES about Lily and I don’t even know her! Expect for the facts that she’s in California and is dating Jack...who's a true gem. I think I used the name Jack because I was obsessed with the Titanic growing up and of course with Leonardo DiCaprio who played Jack (for those of you who live under a rock).

I just think it's so great that guys like Jack are out there in the world. I think all gals should aspire to find a guy like Jack who tells random guy B that you’re so legit even when you are states away. This just raised the bar pretty high for me at least and also made me realize that my paper which is supposed to be 1,2000 words and has currently been at 1,000 over the past two days isn’t going to finish itself. Shocking though that I’m already at 904 words with this post and it took me a total of ten minutes. Find a Jack.
